Box Office and Bar Manager, Full Time

Seeking a gregarious, innovative and organized professional to manage the Box Office and Bar systems and hospitality programs, including ticketing and point-of-sale software; train, supervise and schedule front-of-house staff and interns; provide thorough and excellent customer service and interface; cultivate and maintain concierge connections; initiate and coordinate appropriate community and business partnerships; brainstorm, execute and monitor bar sales profitability initiatives; order and manage inventory and office supplies; present sales results plus create sales and cash flow projections for weekly meeting. Work hours will a blend of weekdays, from approximately 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., along with weekend and evening hours.    

Bookkeeper, Part Time

Seeking a detail-oriented bookkeeper to process payroll for 60+ staff and ensemble members, accounts receivable and payable, collect and handle all cash, check and credit card deposits, track and process all bills, reconcile bank statements, and interface on cash flow actuals and projections with our Chief Financial Officer.  Familiarity with QuickBooks and accounting software preferred.  The 20 hours a week would likely run full days on Mondays and Fridays and four hours on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Hospitality & Tourism Sales Intern:

The ComedySportz Theatre seeks Sales Intern to work 15-20 hours a week. Candidate should have a strong interest in the areas such as improv related program sales, event planning, and corporate development. Duties would include supporting the sales team with administrative tasks, confirming event details and communicating with prospects, clients and vendors. Additional duties include: on-line research, direct mail campaigns, maintenance of client database, and attending industry networking and professional events. Administrative Intern:
The ComedySportz Theatre seeks Administrative Intern to act as Assistant to the General Manager. This 20 hour per week internship would include budget preparation, accounts payable/receivable entry, research on special projects and preparation of business plan. This position reports directly to the General Manager. Ideal candidate should enjoy working in fast-paced, high energy office environment, be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and have an interest in running a commercial theater. Marketing & PR Intern
The ComedySportz Theatre seeks an intern with Marketing & PR experience to support the Marketing Director. This is not a "run for coffee" internship. You will work creating programs to increase ticket sales, support social media efforts and analyze existing databases. Intern hours are flexible and college students are welcome to apply. In addition to producing Chicago's only all-ages friendly professional comedy show, ComedySportz maintains an international touring company, provides improv based training in the private and public sectors, and coordinates comedic talent for the environmental marketing campaigns of several Fortune 500 companies.
