404 - Styles / Genre Pre-req: 303
The best kept secret in Chicago: how to effectively use genre in performance. Genre parody is common in sketch comedy, but often avoided in performance improvisation - except at ComedySportz! 404 focuses on those ComedySportz games that heavily employ genres and style work, and gives students the opportunity to gain mastery in one of the more difficult areas of the artform.

505 - Musical Improv Pre-req: 404
Much of the magic of a ComedySportz show is found in our performers ability to do improvised singing. In this class you'll learn the skills needed to sing to music you've never heard before, the elements of a successful improvised song, and ComedySportz's current repertoire of musical games.

606 - Performance Practicum Pre-req: 505 & Instructor Permission
606 is where the transition from improv student to improviser is completed. Your class will put on a ComedySportz style show as one coordinated ensemble. You will learn why ComedySportz is a form that has stayed fresh for over 20 years, and how to equip your own shows with the showmanship required of professional entertainment. You will receive personal feedback from your instructor throughout class. Your training will conclude with a short conference to help you plan your future in comedic improvisation, whatever you determine that to be. Note: Students needing additional training may be asked to repeat a class before being admitted into 606.
