Jeffrey L. Shivar (Musical Director) has been with CSz Chicago since 1993 and has been Musical Director since 1996. Besides accompanying the ensemble both at home and on the road, he teaches music improv workshops as well as working with the CSz University and High School Leagues. He has accompanied the long-form shows Edison's Attic in 1998, The Hot Karl in 1999, and he music directed the acclaimed improvised musical, Whose Chorus Line Is It Anyway? 1999-2001. Mr. Shivar also does work with Dave&Co, CSz's business side, performing for many corporate clients including PGI, Allstate, Ford, Norwest, Intel (The World Tour in 1997), Abbot Labs, and Tandy/Radio Shack. Mr. Shivar comes from Cincinnati, Ohio, where he studied both theater and music. As a freelance musician, he has worked with every major improv troupe in Chicago, including The Second City TourCo., The ImprovOlympics, Noble Fool, Musical, The Musical, and The Annoyance Theater. He is currently the Composer-in-Residence for WNEP Theater. | |
